2025-06-17 17:09:26 +0000 UTC View PostA tidbit from page three I'm stuck on that is making me question my understanding of "sense certainty":
He talks about how a truth is something that when written down or understood is not diminished. However, my understanding was that the reason sense-certainty is so important* (*of note? whatever- for lack of a better term- "worth talking about") is that it is the purest way to understand something. I hesitate to even use the word 'understand', maybe 'perceive' or 'interact with' would be more appropriate for the immediacy he's talking about. But this idea that understanding knowledge doesn't diminish it... it really seemed like up until this point he thought in the act of processing something we separate it from reality and make it our own in a way that is less objectively true.
Tell me in the comments if I'm missing something.

2025-05-26 19:50:10 +0000 UTC View PostThe last poll is tied! If it stays tied, since I don't really know much going in I think I am gonna start with other material before trying to comprehend Hegel on my own. But if you think it'd be more entertaining to watch me try it, there's still time to vote! If you have any suggestions for things to read or watch before attempting Hegel, comment below or send me a DM!

2025-05-21 21:07:22 +0000 UTC View PostAaaand the poll has spoken. Phenomenology of Spirit it is! We start today! Anybody read it?
