Today I stopped by the plant nursery I have been working at part time since Covid. The place looked good and didn't suffer any major damage from the storm. It was also really great to see the staff, over the last year that job not only provided steady income during much uncertainty. I was also able to make some really good friends. So walking in today and being warmly greeted with hugs and friendly conversation set the tone for the rest of the day. I didn't realize how much I've missed them.
I came home and made some fucking bomb ass blackened chicken, homemade corn tortillas, black beans, salsa and guacamole. I ate too much and it was worth it.
Now it's time to get high and macrame...

I accidently posted this yesterday because I thought my BF and I were going out of town to do supply runs... however most of the city has power so the supply runs aren't necessary. For those that already donated... I will be giving it to my friend who runs a food share down here in NOLA to feed the poor and homeless. Well. The bus lives! Our fence took a beating... But nothing that couldn't be fixed... The last day and a 1/2 the property has required a tremendous amount of clean up. However I'm beyond grateful right now that we had a home to come back to. Some sweaty selfies before I jump into a much needed shower.
