We seek out instant gratification, constantly left unsatisfied. I do question the ethics of platforms where we are expected to maintain artificiality to be competitive. I think it's harmful to content creators who get a reputation of being shallow, deceptive, and stupid. I think it's harmful to the consumer, who has no model of how to gratify their needs in a healthy way and either completely deny themselves space to explore or helplessly cave into escapism. What is the compromise? How do I support my art and give people access to me in a healthy, ethical way?
