The air is thick. Ripe with gentle breezes, warm rain, and those slow, lingering sunsets painted in tangerine and lavender hues. The kind that make the sky feel like it’s in a long exhale.
These days are so soft and full. I’m tending to my plants. Mostly indoor, because I’m waiting for my outdoor plants to fill out a little more. I’ve been told gardens take time, and so, I will be patient. I spend my mornings sipping fresh lemonade, lazily lounging, watching blue herons skim the pond and deer graze in the tall grass, munching on the little leaves.
My brunches are something from out of the Shire- abundant, cozy, made to be lingered over (I think I’ll rewatch LOTR after my next trip). Farm fresh eggs, warm bread from the local bakery, raspberry jam, juicy strawberries- all spread out on the patio while the wind hums through the branches and rustles the leaves.
June always feels so… creative. Sensual, even. It’s brimming with an energy that’s ready to be seen and felt.
My body looks bountiful in this light, more sun-kissed by the hour, more radiant with every bite of watermelon, every sip of peach juice, every slice of honeyed bread. My curves feel soft and blooming, like they belong in summer, made to bask in the slow golden glazes of these long afternoons.
Everything… everything feels alive.
