You might wonder from the previous post, shouldn’t Glinda have a wand? Yes she does, but her wand is hidden under her skirt. She needs to stroke the wand to cast spells. Dorothy as the chosen savior for the Land of Oz, also has this kind of wand. After Glinda help Dorothy gain the magical ruby slippers, she also teaches Dorothy how to awake her hidden magic abilities and use her wand.
Little did Dorothy know, the unusual body feature that bothers her entire life, is actually magical and powerful. She practices how to use the magic wand with Glinda’s teaching whenever she can. At first she can hardly maintian her wand in the right enlarged shape, but times goes, she is able to get her wand ready in seconds. One critical thing Dorothy has learned that the wand is not just a medium to cast spell, itself can also hardens and become a physical weapon. Glinda said that in order to defeat the bad witch, Dorothy needs to stab the wand into the witch, and cast the spell to release the energy through the wand. This is a very challenging task, so to help Dorothy achieve it, Glinda also let her to practice that with her.
