I feel like I spent all of last month glued to television, social media and newspapers to try and figure out if I live in a bubble and it turns out I do!
Some people think it’s weird for us Europeans to be so invested in an election that happens on a different continent, but I grew up with the whole ‘the US is the leader of the free world’-rhetoric and honestly, it’s still hard to see it as anything else.
It won’t come as a surprise to anyone that I was hoping Kamala would win and that I’m pretty disappointed that she didn’t. I was so hoping that women’s rights to make choices over their bodies would be returned to them with a Democrat in office, but unfortunately we’ll have to listen to an orange lunatic for another 4 years.
I’m bummed, but I’m also happy I no longer have to follow this circus and can get on with my life.
Anyway, that’s just what has been on my mind, and I wanted to post about it.
