Let's just say my body responded VERY well to having my backdoor plugged. Swipe for the juice! 😻💦 On a more serious note my friends, today I feel compelled to write about compassion and empathy. ❤️ Once again the world is faced with a tragic situation where all history leading up to the event is completely ignored or hidden, and people are being intentionally divided into two completely polarized teams which can’t agree on ANYTHING. How many times do we have to see the same scenario unfold? Where we are told an issue is black and white, and we must do or support something brutal or inhumane as a result, only to find out later the facts were not as we were told? And all the while, countless innocent people suffer or lose everything including their lives as we take our sweet time remembering that we have seen all of this before and it’s just being rebranded for a new situation. If some people are from a certain place and do something terrible, it doesn’t mean that everyone who lives in that place are automatically terrible. That kind of “thinking” is extremely dangerous and has led to some of the most horrific incidents in all of history. And this situation dominating all media coverage right now is shaping up to be exactly that. Please remember that under no circumstances do innocent people EVER deserve to be punished for the actions of others. And if a solution to a problem involves that, it’s a barbaric solution that very likely matches or exceeds the barbarity of the initial act that caused the response in the first place. 😥 Human civilization could be a wonderfully nurturing utopia for all, if only we were not led by the most brutal annd greedy among us, and had the courage to not fall for the same lies again and again.
