I am able to look at a broken VCR, know what’s wrong by eye and fix it. I wasn’t ever taught this, nor did I teach myself. Can’t name any parts of a VCR. It was discovered many years ago when the VCR broke at home and was sat, top off, on the dinner table waiting for someone to come and sort it. I wandered over, took one look and fixed it. Turned out not to be a fluke and I fixed a fair few in my time. Isn’t stuff like that funny? Hehe.
