I wore five inch heels so that I could see well over the crowd and my feet are punishing me for it now. The music was amazing and the show took place at the Sunshine Theater, where my dad worked in college (when it was a movie theater rather than a concert hall). He found a discarded gun in the alley behind the theater and had to testify in a murder trial. Anyway, it was a magical night. I was wayyy overdressed in terms of effort. My red and black leggings along with a mesh crop top, black bra, and leather chest harness. Everyone is always so nice at metal shows. And the hotel where I stayed used to be an insane asylum. An actual sanatorium built in the 1920's. I had the strangest dreams there, before I knew its history.
