Here's an update about my hard drive situation. I dropped it off on Monday, and today I got some bad news: my hard drive is completely fried. To recover the data, the company has to use various software tools to extract the files and upload them to cloud storage. The initial $300 I paid was just for the diagnosis; now they need an additional $2000 to actually recover my files. Additionally, I have to rent their cloud storage at $30 per month for up to a year. I'm not willing to spend that much. Thankfully, I found an old drive that contains most of my files up to early 2023. This was a hard lesson learned, so I've ordered two new drives and will back them both up simultaneously. If one fails, I'll still have the other.
It's unfortunate that I won't be able to recover all my files, but the love and care from you has really put a big smile on my heart. Thank you so much for your love and support! ❤️
