I've been getting pretty lonely here- I don't think I could bring myself to talk about it at the time, but I had to rehome my dog, Koda, after my ex and I broke up. I was never been a perfect dog owner, but after we broke up my ex was yelling at her a *lot* more, just treating her differently, and she was getting more and more fear-aggressive and defensive to the point that she would cower and growl every time he or his dog tried to enter the room. :/ I didn't want her to be stuck somewhere with me that was going to exacerbate her fear and behavior, and I didn't know how long I would be stuck there at the time, so I did what I thought was best and found a new family for her. I still get updates and she looks happier and healthier than ever, but I do miss her to death and definitely realized recently that I needed SOMETHING to keep me from being alone until I'm able to get another dog. Given that snakes are generally so low maintenance as pets, I thought it would be a good choice for me right now. I haven't named her yet but I'll make sure to take some pics soon! She's a super butter ball python/blue eyed leucistic for anyone interested in snake stuff :)
