***Travel Tuesday with Riley*** As most of you know, I'm a whisky enthusiast, and I love visiting distilleries. I've spent weeks in Scotland. I've done masterclasses in some of the top distilleries. I've even dug peat, lol. Most of my visits happened in the UK, but I did have a few stops in the USA. Back in 2018, I visited Woodinville Whisky distillery. I have to admit that their branding is top-notch. The bottles look good. The descriptions sound delicious. They even have some scented candles (aromas of their whisky) that are amazing. Still, the experience was average, at best. I was expecting more from this well-known brand. The customer experience was nothing out of the ordinary. It was a simple tasting without any fireworks or much attention given to me (even if I was alone in there). It's about an hour away from Seattle. My recommendation? Don't make a detour to visit, but you can make a quick stop if you are in the area (for one of the outstanding wineries, obviously!). But at the end of the day, you might end up doing like me...returning home with a lovely scented candle and no whisky.
