***We Ask Riley Wednesday - Question by Scott*** **What is your favorite Olympic Sport moment of all time and why?** I don't have a specific one. But, to me, every medal won is a special moment. And not only by Canadians but by every country. However, I WAY prefer sports where there are no NHL or NBA pros in it. There's just something special about seeing someone win a medal that he has worked for four years for, most of the time, by earning a minimum wage salary. How many NBA players would still play in the NBA if they would earn 20-30K a year with the chance to win a medal once every 4 y2ears? How many of them would still play in the NBA and workout like crazy if they had to get a second job to support their families? I'm not the most significant follower of the Olympics, but I will watch a few competitions from time to time and just not root for anyone. I'm just enjoying it and happy for anyone winning. It's not about the country. It's about the individuals. Just like I love supporting any small businesses, not only local ones but from anywhere in the world (mostly thanks to Etsy). We are all sharing the same planet, and to me, a local business isn't more important than a local one in Peru. They all deserve support.
