(2 pics) One of the things I started doing this year (and am going to try to do more of in 2023) is solo travel. They say you should try to go somewhere you’ve never been at least once every year, even if it’s just to the other side of town. It really does help you see things from a bigger perspective - and I’m really loving traveling solo 🥰 I went to college in The South, but we always seemed to go to Spring Break in NOLA, so I never really did the beach thing. So a couple of months ago, I went to Cancun (you guys saw the Capsule Hotel pics from that trip a while ago; if you missed it, just scroll down). But I never shared the food I had, so for Taco Tuesday, here are two places I really enjoyed. The first is a street vendor taco on Isla Mujeres, an island you can rent a golf cart and ride around on - you need to get on a ferry to get there. Had these and some Mexican cola while chatting with a couple from Colombia 💜 The second pic is from Dons Tacos in Cancun (no apostrophe). A cute shack right on the side of the road, across from those All-Inclusive Hotels tourists go to (I think it’s weird to go to a vacation spot and stay in one hotel the whole time, but you do you, I suppose). OMG these tacos were so good! A couple shrimp, and a couple fried avocado ones, with a michelada (my new obsession, hehe) & doused with their homemade tamarind hot sauce (they have a crate with like a dozen different kinds). I wish they sold that hot sauce by the bottle, it was so good! Nom nom nom…happy Taco Tuesday! 💜😋🌮😋💜
