(Personal blob) My glaucoma put me out for the entire day yesterday (I literally laid in the dark with a blindfold and ice until I could go to a specialist) and I’m still in a lot of sore pain from the fun adult “literal needle in the eye” treatment that I get to get used to for the foreseeable future. It’s the first kind of step I’ve seen myself take towards the inevitable future of inheriting the blindness of every woman in my family. Problems start in our 20s and the blindness hits around 40 from a retina detach. All our retina and optic nerves are improperly formed (probably someone’s inc*st baby still fucking us over; love being white) and we just go blind. So yeah as much as I’ve mentally prepared for a dark (haha literally) future, it really affected me to realize that it was here.
